Network Operation Centre (NOC) Engineer - (SG/MY)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide off-site and on-site troubleshooting isolation and resolution
  • Responsible for attending to level 1 & 2 escalations and support
  • Monitor, evaluate and solve potential network performance issues
  • Manage infrastructure-related and other network requests and problems
  • Support customers via email and phone calls
  • Monitor and ensure that all fault tickets are resolved timely and meet performance SLA
  • Provide timely response to all issues reported by customers
  • Document the resolution of incidents and problems
  • Manage and observe system, network, application and service alerts
  • Ticketing & Escalation, engineer’s principle role is troubleshooting all the technical related issues
  • Maintain and comply with standard Company technical and administrative procedures
  • Work with customers, helpdesk, service manager, project manager, and vendor in problem-solving
  • Work on technical issues with Vendors or Carriers technical assistance Support Centre and oversee or escalate each problem until resolution

 

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering
  • (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in the IT environment and professional certification like CCNA will be preferred. Candidates with no working experience are also welcome to apply.
  • Able to work in a shift environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and has a flair for dealing with technical and operational problems.
  • Good written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Technical & Helpdesk Support or equivalent.
    On-job training will be provided.

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Proven hands-on network engineering and administration experience, including networking protocols, routing and switching technologies.
  • Planning, researching and developing network security policies, standards and procedures.
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
  • Good working knowledge of Cybersecurity risk management, technical vulnerability management (vulnerability assessment, penetration testing), application security, security technologies (system hardening, IDS/IPD, firewall), security incident response and security assessment.

Hands-on experience in the following IT Security Tools:

  • Next Generation Firewall (e.g., FortiGate, Sophos)
  • Tenable Nessus, Email Security, Endpoint Protection (e.g., Symantec, Sophos Endpoint)
  • SD-WAN, Ruckus WLAN
    Monitor all network resources proactively to ascertain the general of the networks and to detect faults or errors.
  • Network and Log Monitoring (e.g. Nagios, PRTG, CACTI )

Requirements:

  • A technologist at-heart, and love the development of automations to speed ways-of-working.
  • You have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • You enjoy hands-on technical work and documentation.
  • You are a self-motivated and results oriented individual.
  • You have good analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills.
  • Possess at least CCNA, Network+, Security+ or equivalent IT security certifications.
  • OJT, training courses provided.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities in assigned portfolio
  • Maintain consistency and excellence in all interactions with clients, providing high quality customer experience
  • Follow up promptly on sales leads assigned
  • Using consultative selling approach to identify client’s needs and provide a holistic solution
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentation and proposal
  • Meet/Exceed budgeted sales target
  • Any other matters assigned.

Skills & Experience

Candidate is able to:

  • Generate new opportunities through cross-selling/up-selling to new and existing portfolio.
  • Win new customers through our value proposition and holistic solution catering to client’s benefit.
  • Negotiate with prospects in terms of price, length of contract, packages etc.
  • Deliver service excellence in all interactions with prospects and customers

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a client facing role
  • Telco and IT industry experience would be advantages
  • Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to convert leads into sales, cross-sell/up-sell to existing customers.
  • Business acumen, strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, goal/result oriented and work well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
